More than 95 thousand students begin medical studies in Cuba

Cuba Health More than 95 thousand students of Medical Sciences started the current 2013-2014 school year in Cuba , including about ten thousand young fellows from 106 nations, said today the Minister of Public Health , Roberto Morales.
Among the more than 85 000 Cuban students, about 73 000 are of higher education while some 12 000 are in technical education.
The Cuban Minister of Health told the press during the act of starting school at the University of Salvador Allende Medical Sciences of Havana, the island maintain its charity project for the training of students of medicine to other countries.
Cuba currently has a record of more than 29 000 students in postgraduate courses in all specialties from general medicine to neurosurgery and Cardiovascular Surgery, among others, to 
achieve specialists for the country and the world with a high scientific level.
Minister Morales said that his ministry is committed to further strengthening the educational process and the formation of values ​​of these professionals, who will be the continuation of a public health system high permeate medical knowledge, sensitivity and humanism.
Morales also insisted on the integration between teaching and research assistance, in order to continue improving the health indicators of the Cuban population.
